Are you an organized and proactive marketing/business professional ideally with 5+ years of recruitment experience? Are you a self-starter who sees what needs to be done and works with others or on your own to make it happen? Do you know how to leverage social media and recruitment channels to deliver a compelling message?


AMA Toronto has been helping Toronto area marketers and other business professionals learn, connect and grow to build successful careers for more than 70 years. AMA Toronto is run by more than 70 volunteers who work on more than 12 committees to plan and execute our many programs.


We are looking for a proactive and organized professional to help manage our volunteer recruitment activities. Reporting to the VP Volunteers, you will be responsible for helping our committees recruit their new team members. You will hold an important role within our organization with opportunities to learn and grow, to sharpen your skills, build your network and leadership skills, and have fun! 


Your responsibilities would include:

Working with the VP of Volunteers and other AMA Toronto committees as necessary to successfully recruit new team members. This will include:

  • Drafting job descriptions for new positions. Ensuring they are approved and posted on our website and removed when filled.
  • Developing and posting recruitment ads on our communications channels: LinkedIn, Twitter, Connections Newsletter, Website home page and other channels such as Indeed as relevant.
  • Helping the VP Volunteers organize the prospect pipeline.
  • Helping to screen prospective volunteers.
