AMA Toronto will kick-start the monthly Marketing Networking Group (MNG) series of events for 2021 with a look at the State of Customer Experience in the Post-Covid context - informed through a recent study commissioned by consulting firm TMG International Inc.
Customer experience continues to be the driving force that marketers and brand strategists leverage to stay competitive. However, as this bi-annual study demonstrates, many companies are still struggling with how to implement effective customer experience programs and processes to improve their business results - especially in the post-Covid context.

John Bardawill is the Managing Director of TMG International, where he helps clients translate marketing, customer experience and change initiatives into meaningful action across their organizations. John is passionate about customer centricity and leverages customer experience to help his clients increase revenues and profits.
John has over 25 years of international marketing, operations and management experience. Prior to founding TMG, he held senior executive roles at Thomas Cook, Thomson Publishing and Southam Newspapers and later became a trusted advisor to organizations like Ericsson, Cable & Wireless, Bell Canada, Rogers, and RBC Insurance.
John is a member of the Board of Directors of the Child Development Institute. He has spoken at numerous industry events, and educational institutions, including Columbia University. He has been interviewed by various media outlets such as Citytv, CTV News, Global News, CBC, 680 news and others as an expert in marketing and customer experience. He is the author of numerous articles for a variety of industry publications and holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Western Ontario.
Glenn Laverty, Retired President & CEO, Ricoh Canada Inc.
Glenn has spent his entire career in the Technology Industry from the front lines to the Corner Office as President & CEO for Ricoh Canada Inc. where he served for well over a decade. An early architect of “The Customer Experience” as a market differentiator, he oversaw consistent growth during his tenure leading at a national level in Canada.
Glenn is able to draw on over 30 years of industry experience and has a deep and thorough understanding of existing and emerging business and customer trends. His focus on the customer and on the role employees play led him to make it an imperative that Ricoh be recognized as the stand-alone industry leader in the delivery of exceptional customer experience. And as a recognized champion of the CX movement, Glenn was a natural choice to provide the forward for best selling author Colin Shaw’s latest book, The Intuitive Customer.
