Behind the Scenes with AMA Volunteers

Kudos for Two Outstanding Events

Pulling together two seamless and engaging events for the AMA community in November required a lot of effort from a lot of people. The Business of Branding, another Legendary Leadership series event, featured business legends Brian Scudamore and Anthony von Mandl as well as moderator Ashish Patel. Our Marketing Networking Group panel tackled the important topic: Diversity Strong, Inclusion Weak. In total, these events ran for about four hours. However, behind the scenes, they took hundreds of hours and months of work.

These events were planned, promoted and delivered by volunteers. And just like at the end of the movie, we’d like to share the credits. THANK YOU! We couldn’t do this without you.

Congratulations to Our November Rockstars

And a big THANK YOU to our awesome November Rockstars. Your AMAzing contributions make a big difference to our community.

Arash Singh, International Account Director: Joining AMA Toronto this summer, Arash rolled up his sleeves and quickly became a valuable part of the team that coordinated our first submission for AMA’s Chapter Excellence Awards. He is now leading our efforts for leveraging the many opportunities available within our international AMA network for our community.

Jelin Philip, Website Manager: Jelin joined the digital file in May and has been essential in maintaining/updating the AMA website for Canada’s Marketing Hall of Legends launch, our CMO panel, Legendary Leadership events and day to day requirements.  She is a key team member who will serve as a critical Marcom point of contact as our new Website and Digital leadership develop their strategies and evolve our platforms.

Sanaz Koosha, Events Director: In the last 2 years, Sanaz has been a loyal and versatile team player. She led our last pre-lock-down and in-person event at the Umbra store but has seamlessly transitioned to virtual events. She’s always the first to help others, more recently supporting the Membership team with MNG events. She’s collaborative, dedicated and enthusiastic, a true asset to AMA Toronto, Sanaz was recently promoted to Events Director.
