Legendary Leadership Series - The Business of Branding





The Legendary Leadership Series provides AMA members and non-members the exclusive opportunity to access and learn from Marketing Legends. 2020 Canada’s Marketing Hall of Legends recipients and business leaders Brian Scudamore and Anthony von Mandl will be discussing The Business of Branding with host Ashish Patel, CTO of Architech. There will also be an opportunity for interactive Breakout sessions with each Legend on the subject of Marketing Leadership and Career Development, allowing the audience to ask questions to both speakers.   This is an event you won’t want to miss!




Anthony von Mandl -  Founder & CEO, The Mark Anthony Group of Companies 

Intensity, infectious passion, overcoming obstacles by innovation, and an unwavering commitment to his vision led Anthony von Mandl to begin his journey more than four decades ago. Born in Vancouver and European educated, Anthony without resources, founded a wine importing firm in Vancouver at the age of 22. Despite difficult initial years, he successfully grew Mark Anthony Wine Merchants, and in 1981 began to realize his audacious dream: to produce world-class wines in British Columbia’s then unknown Okanagan Valley. Little did he know that in order to self-finance his vision he would organically build a more than $3B corporation from the ground up without outside financing – and along with it, a collection of enduring and iconic brands that would disrupt the beverage alcohol business in the U.S. and Canada, and connect with consumers for decades. Brian Scudamore - Founder and CEO at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? & O2E Brands

Serial entrepreneur and author Brian Scudamore has always taken the road less travelled. Ashish Patel, Chief Technology Officer, Architech


As Architech’s Chief Technology Officer, Ashish is tasked with overseeing the company’s technology strategy, leading our product & technology and delivery teams, and providing thought leadership to clients as they execute their digital transformations. Ashish has an extensive 20-year track record building and implementing transformative solutions, and his diverse experience as both a client and a vendor is invaluable in helping Architech’s clients achieve exceptional success in their digital initiatives.


His expertise includes:

Business, technology and innovation strategy
New product/service development
Design Thinking and User Experience
Software engineering
IT architecture and operations
Building high performing teams


Prior to joining Architech, Ashish led the digital transformation agenda as Chief Design and Innovation Officer at Grant Thornton. He has also held numerous technology leadership roles at TeraGo, and IBM. Ashish has an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management.
