Volunteer Openings

Opportunity #1: Database ManagerAccountable to the VP of Talent [2-3 volunteers]

Responsibilities:

  • Consolidates existing volunteer databases and address books
  •  Updates and maintains a database of active volunteers complete with resumes, dates and records of service, volunteer feedback
  • Queries database for specific talent

Opportunity #2:  Membership Portfolio- Accountable to the VP of Membership [2-3 volunteers]

 

Responsibilities:

Telephone calls for:

  • Membership expiring                                       
  • Past Members
  • New Members
  • Potential ‘New’ Member(s)

Occasional tasks

  • Attend Connect Events, SIG’s, Breakfast forums etc.   Role:  Welcome members and guest.   Introduce non-members to board members, guests, and other appropriate AMA members. Approach guests that appear to be on their own and engage conversation, and/or introduce to other members. 

Non-Members

  • Generate interest – profile the benefits of joining the AMA. 
  • Review the application form.

Requirements:

  • Candidates who can genuinely share their ‘experiences/stories’ of how the AMA has positively influenced their career/connections/learning etc.
  • Friendly and approachable – not overly aggressive / ‘slick’ or pushy.
  • Professional appearance/ caring manner
  • Strong voice/good listener
  • Naturally comfortable meeting/interacting with people; in person -  particularly on the phone.
  • Detailed, reliable and accountable.
