The Marketing Planning SIG focuses on the art & science of planning a marketing strategy. The marketing industry often focuses on new tactics and channels, but even the coolest new tactic or big creative idea won't succeed without a broader plan for how your marketing efforts will all tie together and build your business. And as the world around us changes - from the economy to the media landscape - the skills needed to create a big picture marketing plan are constantly changing. The approaches we learned 5 or 10 years ago may no longer work.
The AMA Toronto Marketing Planning SIG offers you the chance to connect with other Toronto marketers who share an interest in the evolving discipline of marketing planning, and a passion for building great strategies. We will build a community to share best practices and explore emerging new ideas for creating marketing plans for today's business climate. You will have opportunities to interact with and learn from other thought leaders who come at marketing planning from different perspectives - clients, agencies, media companies, and other strategic partners. Together, we'll explore what it means to build a successful marketing plan for 2010 and beyond.
